I don't believe I've ever tried marinating the beef before making a stew -- I'll certainly try it next time. We only got a few inches here in northern VT, but yeah, it's March, enough already. :-) Thanks for the recipe.


this is one of my wife's favorite recipes. we make it the day before we go skiing, then warm it up and serve with crusty bread and a nice red wine. I second that this recipe is worth the extra effort but even that isn't so much.
