The summer of 2003 was a lot like this summer, as I recall. A nice June and Part of July, then fog and rain for August. This shot was taken mid afternoon at Long Sands Beach.
RG tells me that it's very rainy and quite cool today, so I imagine that the beach looks like this right now.

Hopefully, some of that rain has left the state and you'll have a beach day today? :) Even my eternally hopeful husband has reached the point of despair about the weather, so I know it must be really bad.
