Take Your Child To Work Day And Other Unrelated Tales

I'm still in the Cincinnati office, but heading home tonight and so glad of it.  It's been a gloriously beautiful week weather-wise, a productive week business-wise and a fun week on the personal side, but I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed with RG  (snoring) beside me and a cat on my feet.

Today is Take your Child to Work Day and there are a lot of short folks cruising through the halls.  The usual noise level is raised by about three decibels.    We have an afternoon ice cream break planned and pizza being catered for lunch.    Productivity will be WAY down today,  but who cares?  It's a great day for the kids and their moms and dads.

While Southern Maine has been enjoying beautiful spring weather, Northern Maine, where over 200 inches ( more than 15 feet) of snow fell this year celebrated the end of winter with a snow plow parade.  More than 100 snow plows, tractors, graders, and a precision snow shoveling drill team participated in the event.  It sounds like fun, even for us weather weary folks.
