.....on a summer's day, yes. Today, not so much, as you can see. We slid out the door at daybreak in the middle of snow flurries, hustled up the Maine Pike, headed east on Rt.1, through Brunswick and Bath and on past Red's Eats (home of the best lobster roll in Maine--photo by iPhone out the car window in the middle of another snow squall) and on into Waldoboro, home of the Five Masted Schooner and Moody's Diner to close on our Cushing house.
We refinanced both homes to take advantage of the lower interest rates. Maine law says you must have an attorney handle the close (a law that had to be passed by lawyers) and for the Cushing house, that means Waldoboro (and $400.00 in attorney fees).
We signed, we left, we were home in 4.5 hours.
